Civil Litigation Attorney Kelly Ann L. May

Kelly Ann L. May, Esq.Kelly Ann L. May, Esq., is a native of upstate New York and moved to Florida, with her children, to attend law school at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.  Ms. May has lived, and worked, throughout the State of Florida as an actively litigating attorney for more than fifteen years.  She has practiced law in the areas of  admiralty/maritime, personal injury, ERISA and SSD, family law, estate planning, first party property, criminal defense, as well as other areas of law.  In addition to her admission to practice at the state level, Ms. May is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle, and Southern U.S. District Courts of Florida, and the Southern U.S. District Court of Indiana.

 

While being an actively practicing litigation attorney and mediator, Ms. May is a loving mother, grandmother, and volunteer in her community.  Ms. May focuses her community service on the rights and needs of children, renal transplant patients, and advocating on behalf of survivors of domestic violence.  Ms. May runs a support group for individuals with kidney failure and those awaiting and/or living with renal transplant. Additionally, she is a Lieutenant with U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. (a U.S. Navy youth program) and is currently the Commanding Officer of the Suncoast Air Squadron, based at the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station, Clearwater, Florida. Ms. May frequently volunteers her time to speak in front of various audiences regarding her unconventional path to success and her secrets to lifelong happiness.

 

Ms. May has dedicated her life to the service of others and is an effective litigator and mediator who is well respected among her peers.  She brings a patient and upbeat attitude and demeanor to every client, every case, and every mediation.
